Carb questions
« on: December 25, 2009, 08:33:26 PM »
Hi everybody,

I'm cleaning my the carburetors for my 1975 CB750 (going to try the soda blaster tomorrow, excited!).
the float bowl seals and a few other rubber components are trash, but the rest looks pretty good or at least cleanable. Is it possible to get just replacement gaskets, not the whole rebuild kit? And if so, where?

Further, the 1 and 2 carburetors were nearly spotless inside, but 3 and 4 are disgusting - caked on buildup and everything. Is there an explanation for this difference?

Finally, I'm going to try to get the needle jet out with a dowel (as recommended on a few sites), but how do I get it back in?

Thanks,

Harper
