Side Cover Hex Bolts?

Without going to eBay, where do you guys buy your CB750 hex bolts to replace those phillips screws on the side tranny cover, stator cover and clutch cover?

Go to FAQs on this subject. Some forum members supply them as well as others.

Here's the link. Scroll down a short way to Jim Spillane. He has kits all made up, last I checked.

Since I am into instant gratification, Johnnie, I just went to one of our local fastener shops and bought socket head stainless bolts. They are all 6mm standard thread. There are some odd lengths, but nothing that can't be addressed with a dremel and a cutting blade.

Patrick, got a rough price comparison for the diy stainless case screws vs purchasing a set on EBay or an online vendor?

No I don't, Lone X. But the last time I bought any bolts I got 5mm X 15mm abd they were 6 cents each. Smaller stainless bolts are pretty cheap if you go to a place yhat usually sells in bulk. Austin Bolt is my hookup here.

I think he does it for love more than money and he may be out for the holidays. But I'm totally just guessing. Give him some time if you're not in a hurry.

I get my replacement screws and bolts at Lowe's or Harbor Freight. Real cheap and I've replaced pretty much every nut and bolt on the bike. I also got a 400 pc metric o-ring box at Harbor Freight for under $8.
