Bill, this is THE chrysler product i'd practically kill for. unadorned black paint, dogdish hubcaps on steel wheels and of course the HEMI. i just drooled all over the keyboard. i'd drive it like i stole it  :D

Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

i just love the idea of sleeper cars. no mags or spoilers or gaudy stripes/graphics. i drove a 71 Camaro Sport Coupe, stock steel wheels with stock hubcaps. the rear wheels i had widened to 10" it had a 600bhp small block and 2 mufflers per side so it was quiet too. until i hit the electric exhaust cutouts and stomped the accelerator nobody thought it was anything but a nice stocker with a 307 or something like that.

I can well imagine! :D Sounds cool Jeff! 8) My GTX LOOKS basically stock, but all doubt is removed, when the 440 comes to life. ::) It has headers with 2 Flowmasters and a very short tip coming out of each muffler. I plan on getting tailpipes to run it out the back and put on the factory styled exhaust tips I picked up off of ebay. Don't know how much hp mine puts out, quite a bit short of 600 though, I'm sure. ;) Got about 12" of rubber on the ground at the rear and it'll break them loose, with no trouble, if I want to. I found out one day, accidentally. I pulled out onto the hwy and it booged on me (wasn't warmed up enough) and I nailed it (just the gas, as the clutch was released) and that sucker started to go sideways! :o ;D Should have seen folks who were near me. :D ;) Yeah, it's fast enough for me to enjoy AND could cause me to get into trouble. As I can get things lined out, I'll  try to get some pictures of it and post them. ;)

yeah, those turndowns are ok for adding a little top end power but for street use you need regular tailpipes, alot safer too, not having the exhaust exits under the car (carbon monoxide poisoning anyone?)

Well actually, they come straight out, but are only about 6" long! ::) PO said he didn't want the restriction! ::) Yeah, the only "gassed" I want, is when I "put the pedal to the metal!" :D

on the street all those will do is hurt your torque. theyre popular on cars that have had a custom rear suspension put in that might not have the space for a tailpipe.

Going down the hwy, the noise isn't too bad, after all, it is behind me. ;D But, sitting at a light or driving through town, it underneath me and not as pleasant (especially, if there's a cop around and then, I just try to ease through town til I am in the clear). :D

It'd be better if it weren't so loud and then it wouldn't be so obvious that the engine is built! ;)

That's what I like about the Shelby Charger, it's pretty quite and doesn't announce to the world that it can really get it! 8) You can just sneak upon someone and blow their doors off, while they don't even know what happened. ;D
