I have just ordered an output shaft oil seal (countershaft) from honda for my cb750k2
Looking at how the pieces of the output shaft are put together it seems that all I have to do is remove the front sprocket then slide the old seal off the shaft and slip the new one on in its place, right?
Are there any tricks to doing this that will ensure that it seals?
should I coat it with oil to moisten it or put it in dry?
when I attempted to replace the tach drive seal last year I apparently damaged the seal while putting it in and so it leaked just as much with the new seal as it did with the old. When I watched my mechanic do it (with the 2nd oil seal I bought

) he was so gentle and careful with it like a surgeon. It was a good lesson for me to see that.
I would like to do this output shaft seal right the first time

thanks,
Adam
