this snow is really starting to suck. I mean it's sucks with the first few flakes I see of the year but this year. Dayum. We're over 64" for the season. We've had snow cover for all but a week or so since 18 Dec. 2' on the ground now with a dusting again last night. 60mph wind gust today so you can guess, yep, it's drifting. Had to drag hay bales across 2' deep snow about 100 yards to the tree line so the horses could eat in relative calm this morning. Again this afternoon, again tomorrow since the dayum wind isn't planning on stopping for 2 days.
Been cutting timber in this stuff all winter, we're one of the few to stay at it.
Maybe that makes me dumb.
I don't own any snow shoes. I'll take a donation if someone wants to ship me a pair.

I'm officially saying UNCLE! Can it stop now?

   I can certainly understand your frustration with that stuff.

           64" is about 60 more that I'd want, that's for sure! What we've had, is a drop in the bucket, compared to that! Seems like we ALL need to be yelling "COME ON SPRING!!!!" ;)

have you checked craigslist?  i know you can get good deals on shoes there!  if i had an old pair, i'd certainly ship them your way, but i gave my old ones to friends when i moved out of CO...  where are you located?

He's in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, very picturesque covered in snow. ;D ;D ;D

And up here in what was always called the "Great White North" we've only had two snowfalls so far. And only one of them was bad enough to leave snow on the ground. I haven't seen snow like what fell on Washington in probably two decades. And some claim the weather patterns aren't shifting? R-I-G-H-T! ;D

as Sam said, I'm in the Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, beautiful that is when not covered in snow.  ;)
Every other year I say, I really need some snow shoes. That narrow trapper style is what would work, or maybe even
clown shoes.  ;D

Not that long ago, I was looking forward to living in the Blue Ridge Dessert.  Now this...  I sure hate being cold all the time. 

A couple of months ago, Kathleen took home a kitten- that is turning out to be a Maine Coon.  Huge cat.  She doesn't like to be held, though.
(neither does the cat...)

I saw on TV they are hauling in snow for the olympics. With helicopters. Crazy weather.
