I'm guessing they are aftermarket and that is just the model # they gave the piston. To give it a obvious designation. Besides when was the last time you seen a Honda piston that wasn't beautiful, and a ART manufactured piston!

Klaus, does it actually say Honda on it? It does look like a well manufactured part.

Hi, I believe Honda did make a bigger piston for their Japanese versions that never left Japan. The gauges and everything were in Japanese. Back in the 70s a friend of mine bought his 750 brand new from a dealer in the states and this is what he was told. How much truth to it, I'm not sure, but that could explain it being an oddball. If I'm wrong, feel free to let me know.
