If it lives in a Gixxer, why not in a Honda.. ???

Of course the GSXR's pistons have huge side reliefs, a narrower rod small end so the pin boss still is plenty wide enough even with this short pin. My 60mm forged pistons are old school, (not by choice) full round skirt and at 5.4mm shorter than the pin supplied I'm nervous to use the Gixxer pins.

+1, go with the full length of the pins that can fit between the circlips

Mike has an address for you Brent, he mentioned it earlier but has gone to bed, suffering with a cold.

PM him tomorrow in case I forget.

What do they weigh out of curiousity? It is next to impossible finding lightweight tapered pins in the 15x50mm size.

Hey thanks CB500Four, great info. It may just be the breakthough news I was looking for.

I was about to give up on this and finally heard back from another piston manufacturer about some 40g straight wall pins, so suddenly I'm swimming in lighter weight options.

It's a good thing some parts are delayed and that I'm so bull-headed!  ::)  (can hardly wait for the Sam comment here  ;D)

Thanks,

that was it what i would to describe.

I have lightened the pins on a lathe.
They have a thin hardened skin but if you break thru
it´s relative easy to turn it down.

Yes thanks for the name Mike & Sam, Precision Products Performance Center and they can manufacture pins but not near the weights I was hoping for. Good folks though.

I like the CB500Four option.
