Newest project. Nice 750 Dunstall cafe with DANLOPS...
« on: March 12, 2010, 04:07:15 PM »
OK, I know its not full size but it is a CB750K! Super cool but it needs a little mechanical work. The batery is missing and the engine won't turn over at the moment.

Hopefully have it running soon!

And yes I meant DANLOPS...LOL, You gotta love old Japanese toys.

Well, quickest restoration yet! A little Wurth Contact OL. A little solder. A couple of new C-bateries and she fired right up. Main ground wire was dislocated. I didn't even have to change the oil.
When turned on it takes off and drives in circles after a few seconds a spring loaded rod flies out tipping the bike over. It whips a few doughnuts and slowly rights it self and starts the whole process over again. I think there is supposed to be a rider too but I don't care, the body work and graphics are too freaking cool to worry about it.

It was made in 1973 so is that a K1 or a K2?  LOL.
