Was there really a "factory" dual disc conversion available in the early 70's? I couldn't find an accurate reference to this, although lo and behold, there it is ...

Actually, the dual disc conversion was a dealer option. Rex Wolfendon, Australia's foremost authority on Honda CB750's, and an ex-dealer of 30-odd years, showed me the factory kit once.

It wasn't a big seller though, as at the time, people were raving about how good the single disc brake operated, so most of them went to the race boys, who found good use for them, ha ha! Cheers, Terry.

G'Day Mate, i'm not sure where Rex lives, he and his brother Clive are interesting blokes, Rex ran K&W Motorcycles from the 1970's until he sold it to Red Wing honda and started T-Rex Racing, Australia's premier CB750 based Post classic Race bike builders, and of course Rex and Peter Guest have been taking it in turns to win the PCR championship here in Oz for years. (don't forget the Phillip Island Classic is coming up in 2 weeks!) Rex builds a very nice CB750 based 1100 that produces a relaible 140 BHP at the 'wheel!

Clive is a brilliant mechanic and engineer, and has built some incredible bikes, including a nitrous fireblade back in the early 1990's that would pull power wheelies at close to 200 Mph! He was the team manager for Honda MPE's Superbike team before heading to Europe for a couple of seasons of managing a Shell/Honda sponsored GP team, but i'm sure he's back here again, I must drop around and see him, he's a really nice guy. It was produced as part or the race kit by the RSC department.

Hey Mutty (what's yer freaking name mate?) you're not thinking of Bertrand Cadart are you? He was the proprieter of "La Parisienne" way back when, importing neat fairings, tank/seat units, pipes, and those beautiful (but ridiculously expensive) Fournales shockers?

I always wanted a set of them, so if you've got some lying around, I want 'em! Bertrand was a proprieter of a restaraunt then too, I think, so it sounds like it might be him? Cheers, Terry.
