Bumping this back up. Me and a buddy are going to ride out from PHX to a spot just south of Rye. Anyone is welcome who wants in!

My bike isn't any closer to being on the road since the last time you brought this up. However, if you get some folks interested in a ride up North, I would consider hosting a Santa Maria style tri-tip BBQ!
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

I will be gone until next Saturday. Riding the BMW up to Colorado.  I would be up for it on the cb500 anytime after that.  I hope you got out in the cool weather this weekend.

So how about Sunday August 15? Meet maybe at the base of South Mountain in the AM before it gets too hot?

Back from the dead, good to see some AZ members on here. I live in Chandler and should have my 750 going within the next couple months. I look forward to going on a ride with the other locals around.

Given it's a 180 miles jaunt one way to meet you guys for a ride and I've not sorted out the new acquisition ('78 CX500) much less gotten the CB550 sorted & roadworthy yet. CB550 been off the road for about 20 years.
I'd love to take a ride with a group...but it'll have to wait until later this winter season. Had some surgery Oct 4th and can't ride until things have healed up and I've ran into complications slowing the healing process. Ugh.
There are a couple guys in Phoenix Area and up in Kingman AZ who own CX500/CX650s that would probably enjoy a ride with the group. A cross post onto the CX500 group's riding area would be a good thing I think...

I'm going to do some wrenching on both bikes, CX500 needs new instruments and the CB550 needs the front end brake system rebuilt and reinstalled and the exhaust installed. Going with twin front discs on the CB550.

Not happy with braking on the CX500, so it'll get HH EBC pads and probably a new set of forks and dual discs if I end up keeping her.  Nice fun bike but the riding position has me a little scrunched up and feels short between seat and the pegs.
CX500 is a stop gap for the riding fever until the CB550 is road worthy.
