Yes the WMAP mission has mapped the CMB in much greater detail then CBOE did.

They where also able to map the CMB with a series of Balloon carried instruments in greater detail then COBE between the CBOE & WMAP missions.  Each confirmed the minor fluctuations in temperature necessary to support the current "Big Bang" model.

Journey by Starlight is where Albert 2.0 is.

ah yes!  i do remember hearing about the balloon missions now that you mention it.  i'm looking forward to seeing some results from the Plank satellite that was released last year.   :)  i'm def. loving this thread!

so if events don't happen without observation, does that mean kids are correct in assuming that everything really DOES disappear when they close their eyes?

when you close your eyes, the only things you can prove exist are what your other senses perceive.  so localized gravity exists, whatever you can hear, your saliva, etc...

does this mean that all other dimensions are simultaneously present at any given time??  or that each other dimension has collapsed to the point where we can only observe this one??

Cogito ergo sum.  does this mean that Descartes was in touch on some levels with quantum uncertainty?  or maybe Schrodinger really knew what Descartes was talking about??

how is thought explained?  what are the physics of consciousness?  how can one prove that dreams are just in year head and not a physical abstraction?  does thought directly tie one to existence based solely on abstract perception of reality??

thoughts??

I thought the whole idea of "observation" is that all possibilities exist simultaneously until the instant of observation, at which point one of those possibilities is cemented in the observer's reality while all others cease to exist.

one of those possibilities is cemented in the observer's reality while all others cease to exist.

Or, all the other possibilities happen too, in parallel universes.  Depends on your interpretation of quantum physics.
