76 CB750F frame with a 77 or 78 K motor
So i have a bike that has had the rear frame rails cut off. I still have the removed frame rails in my box of parts. Im thinking about tearing the bike apart and building a cafe. Being that from what I have seen other peoples cafes the rear frame is still intact. Is this frame still salvageable for a cafe build? I know anything can be done for the right amount of $$$$. Im looking at keeping this build more of a $$ build if you get my drift.
I guess what im asking is.
Can the bike be considered "safe" with re welding the rear frame section that I cut off?
Would I be better off building my own rear frame section thats more suited for the cafe build?
Could I possibly use the existing holes of the frame tubes to make a modular tail housing?
Being that the tail housing slides into the existing frame tubes and is secured somehow.
Or do I need to stop reworking my bike every year or so and just stick with what i got and be happy?
Heres a pic of what I got now and what im talking about.
I guess as things progress and with input and opinions I receive Ill probley have more questons to ask. But for now I guess this could be the start of my cafe build.
