So I want to remove my front headlight harness and fix it with a custom section that houses two halogen lights.  one of which I would like to add a flasher to it that I can toggle on and off for oncoming traffic.

my question is what will I need to do to my electrical system in order to handle the power change?

thanks for any help!

The stock headlight was a 40 watt low beam (3.34 Amps) and a 50 W high beam (4.16 Amps).

What are the power ratings of the headlights you wish to replace them with?

FYI: The stock alternator puts out 210 watts at 5K RPM.  It has to run ALL the electricals on the bike AND charge the battery.

Cheers,

Oh, and are your headlights dueling each other?  Or, is there a third party involved? ;D

Run a high output truck battery in your backpack, wire it in to the bike, and then
you can run whatever kind of lights you want !

 ;D Problem solved  ;D
