'76 CB750F frame with '78F SS passenger peg mounts?
« on: April 20, 2010, 12:31:08 AM »
So, I've got this older 750F frame that has the steel passenger peg loops. It looks like the aluminum peg mounts from a '78F SS frame will bolt right on.

I'm torn - this bike is gonna be a runner, not a showbike. I'm very tempted to cut the steel loops off and use the '78 mounts. However, almost every time I've cut steel off a bike frame, I've been sorry I did.

Should I cut these steel frame loops off? Or am I crazy here?

How will it affect the mounting of the rear master cylinder? You may have to use the 78 set up.
