This should get some good repliesĀ  ;D

Just wondering if anyone is/has seen/has a pic of a stock frame CB running a aftermarket rear one piece fender ?
This in place of the stock plastic inner fender, along with the chrome outter part...

I am thinking about running a one piece, to clean up the look of the bike once my solo seat project gets going ?
Just wondering if anyone had done this allready, what they used, how they mounted it , etc...
I was thinking about maybe getting a sporster fender, and chopping it to fit, or something along those lines...

The bike below has a setup like I would want, minus that bar above the rear fender..I wasn't planning on running a
rear fender of any kind, but I really like the way this bike looks.
Anyone know more info on this bike , or any others with a 1piece fender ???? ??? ?? ?

I'm not stalking your posts, really.  I'm just on a mission for a way-cool seat.  I really dig the pics of the bikes that appear to be using the stock seat bar, just with the solo seat kind of plunked down in there. Pretty trick.

Hey man - I was just messin with ya  :D

From my research , their are a few ways to run a solo seat on these bikes.
One way is to make a "cover" for the battery area, and mount the solo seat to that. This way you could reatin the
factory seat latch, and still have access to the battery, I.E. with the stock seat in place...
The other is to run a aftermarket fender - such as from a HD, and do alittle more custom work to get the seat to "flow" more
with the bike, rather than have it just thrown on their...

If I could find them at a reasonable price, I'd like to try the alloy fenders from back in the late
50' and early 60's. Like I said, they were alloy, the rear fender was turned out slightly at the rear
of the fender and had a bead around the turned out end. The front fender was turned out slightly
at the front end of the fender and had a bead around that end. I always liked the look of those
fenders. If my memory serves me correctly, they were similar to the Triumph fenders of that time.
I don't remember who sold them back then. Back then, I saw them on a lot of bikes built for
racing like scrambles, flat track, etc. Later on, Bill :) ;)

I suspect old Guzzi fenders might fit.  Check on MGNOC for used ones, maybe.  Believe it or not, when I bobbed my Indian, that's what I used.

Hey Uncle Ernie,I checked out that site and I didn't really see what I was looking for. How about some pictures of that Indian you're talking about. I've got a soft spot for them since there was a dealership in my family back in those times. A company in London (that turned ChrisCraft boats around) is trying to make ago of the "Return (once again) of the Indian Motorcycles for good this time. Didn't know if you knew that or not. You probably did, knowing my luck. Anyway, if I can see some pictures, I might see where I might give them (MG fenders)a try. Later on Uncle,  Bill :) ;)

What about a front fender?  Don't know if it would be wide enuff but its an idea.
