Topic: rewiring/rerouting for clip on bars

hi im recently put on clip on bars onto my cb400f , should i shorten my cables and tubes or should i curl them up behing the front light? any suggestions?

You could probably get away with re-routing. Cutting up your cables is not a smart move. Lots of measuring, and the ends never work because they are a machined fit.
The trick is to make the cables have the biggest loop you can make. Any bend is doom to fail. Too much stress between the cable ends.
The loop my look out of place with the bars, but you have no choice. Less kinks in the cable, the easier it is for both of you. Be creative.

When I put clip ons on my 750 I had the same problem. Wat I ended up doing was simply re-routing everything. It looks a little unique. Instead of the throttle cabels coming down[/i] out of throttle housing they come Up. The clutch cable was much easier to figure out.

As for brake lines, I made up some custom brake lines anyway so I didn't have to worry about that. I also re-did all the electrical controls on the handle bars so they weren't a concern for me either.
