I had the same problem on the freeway in san fran during rushour, nearly killed me.Bike dies going 75 in the fast lane, had to cut across 5 lanes of traffic and pull the petcock,my riding buddies were not pleased. They all had nice new modern bikes.I waited til 39 to get married.
its better to regret something you have done, than something you havent.Except playing with explosives.

hahahaha....

She doesn't like the idea of the bike but would never get in the way of something I truly have a passion for.  That's a keeper.

She doesn't like the idea of the bike.... thats not good. Machines to men are like shopping and shoes to women. They have to start understanding these things! ::) :( but they never seem to get it. Make her understand that in those terms, my wife finally gets it, but it took a while, now she smiles when I say I'm going for a hour ride. She used to be jealous of the bike!!! :o ::)

I am sure if you approach it head on with her she'll get it. Do it soon and save yourself future grief. I am sure she will see it clearly. What am I telling you for, it's your second time around. CONGRATS MAN, LONG LIFE TO YOU BOTH ;D

Hey, if you really are passionate about you bike, keep reading all you can on this forum and fix it yourself (satisfaction), don't pay someone to mess up your bike! ;)
