400-550 cover interchange

Did my once a week plodding through junkyards, looking for pieces for my 550 project. I came across a 400F with chrome covers and valve cover. Any chance these will fit my 550 engine?

I would be interested as well as I need a stator cover and I'm having a helluva time finding a 400 one.

Was the stator cover in good shape?

Everything on the right hand side was very good. The valve cover and the covers on the left were somewhat pitted. More pitted than I would care to have on my bike.

Easy answer NOPE 350 four and 400 four same 500 and 550 four same

You probably know this already, but the points covers on the 400F and 550's are the same Honda part number ....

The genny covers are a different story.  For the 400 there are three different part numbers for that cover - for different years and countries.  (I wonder if that's just a cosmetic difference, or if the different numbers actually fit differently?)
