CR 31 help?
«
on:

Please.......
I was wondering if anyone know what the spacing dimensions were on the keihin CB750 CR's carbs (new style) are. I have a set and want to determine if I need to scrounge the 77-78 boots or if there is an easier way. I notice there is a certain amount of adjustment ...but I don't think that they will mate up to the earlier boots.
Can anyone give me the center to center measurements? Or help in any other way.
Thanks
Steve

Funny thing about regret is...... its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done.

Steve,
I have a new set on my desk. I'm hoping they are set up correctly. I can give you measurements if you'd like. Just be specific on what measurements. I'll be gone Fri pam and Sat though.
Jerry
yeah, yeah Mike. I KNOW it's about time

Thanks Jerry,
Any sort of reference as to the spacing between the inlet collars that mate up to the inlet rubbers would be great. Have you checked to see if yours mate up to the early rubbers?
Thanks

Steve,
I gotta say the new CR31's are damn near the prettiest thing I've seen. I haven't installed the spigots/collars yet so I measured between the carb body inlets. The next prettiest thing is that new inlet inserted into that new rubber. These new manifold rubbers are for the earlier bikes 16212-

1.25" between 1 & 2
1.45" between 2 & 3

Steve,
One thing I didn't hink to do was to measure between those screws. I'd be happy to do that when I return home tonight. Let me know. With the #2 carb set in only one position thta might help also.
