77-78K Rearsets, where can I get'em?

I am looking for a rearsets for my 78 CB750K. Any manufactures I have found so far skip 77-78 of course, seems to be the norm for my bike. Anyone have them or know where I can get a set?

Is there going to be a difference in the way they would mount? Why would rearsets for the earlier models not work? I have 78k myself, dont know about differences in this area.

I am just finishing installing rear sets on my K8. When I get home tonight, I'll take some pictures and you can see how I did it. I did use Tarozzi universal rear sets and mounting plates that I made from 1/4" aluminum plate.

I'm not sure,  I usually have to dig 10x harder to find 77-78 parts. I don't like to buy anything for my bike unless 77-78 is listed in the description. They must stop at 76 for some reason. I was going to call a few places, but thought I'd ask on here first.

The pictures show the first set of plates that I made up for the initial installation, and then the the final plates. I used 1/4" aluminum plate and
Traozzi rearsets (http://www.fastfromthepast.com/servlet/StoreFront).

For the initial mounting, I drilled the engine mount bolts and threaded them 1/4" X 28. For the final mounting I used the lower rear engine mount bolt that was used for the stock foot pegs, and up the thread size to 5/16X24. The first set of plates were made larger than necessary to allow for the trial fitting.

I cut the original brake pedal off to the length that matched up to the Traozzi lever length and I would have just cut the original shifter to use, but had a lever to use on the shifter shaft.

If you need the pattern for the plates, I can send it to you. Did a 200 mile ride to Johnstown, PA last Saturday for the Thunder in the Valley Rally. The rearsets worked fine, with no problem. Let me know if you have any questions.

Nice job Ken! thanks for posting the pics. I plan on doing this when I finish up my wiring and seat. I want the rearsets mainly because the stock setup interfere's with my legs when stopped. I may also do highway pegs with this setup.
