Pretty cool, although, how useless they make a conventional headlight seem, is greatly exaggerated, don't ya think?  ::)Wouldn't mind having that feature though.
That's what I'd like to hear.

I agree - it does seem that they exaggerate the lack of coverage from a conventional headlight.  Watching their play from the rider's seat, it seems to me that my GL1800 has far more coverage and doesn't cut off with such a narrow beam - especially with the high beams on.  the Wing has conventional halogen lamps of 55 Watt each, and there are two of them for low and another two for high beam, all coming on with high.  That's a conventional bike today, which is probably one of the best available; but what BMW is/should be comparing to.  So I don't think they have anything to really get excited about - other than they have improved the coverage from their very narrowly focused beam.

Now the older models like the SOHC4's...

I have them on two of my cars and they do work well.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

I was thinking the same thing... It's bad enough having to buy a sealed beam...

Actually guys that portrays headlight angle pretty well. riding around any corner at night does exactly that and if you are riding correctly with a little bit of counter steer then it can be even worse. Cool idea but a bit complicated and i bet its a #$%* to fix.... ;)

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

Does it really make all the WOOSH and BLAM noises when you turn it on and stuff?  'Cause if it does, I don't care how much it costs!  :D

Seriously, I did have that problem when I was commuting from San Mateo to Half Moon Bay every night but I wouldn't go with something so complicated.  I was thinking of wiring up some fog lights to help out.  I'll see how that works out soon maybe.  Of course now my commute is nowhere near as twisty as it was back then so the motivation isn't really there any more.
