Humm... how does one get the Honda tank emblems off, non-distructively?
No screws like I'm use to...

Mine are screwed in (thanks to the PO), how are they normally attached? If they're adhesive I bet you could use a hairdryer on high heat, some fishing line, and goof off.  That's how I got the badges off the trunk of my car and it worked like a charm...

I had some thin safety wire in the box so I used that.  It is just wire.  I slid it behind the emblem until it stopped (at pin) and tugged with both hands slightly.  Popped off easy on momma's.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

They are pressed on. They come off with a plastic putty knife and patience! You can use fishing line also. Check out the following link.

Yes gentle pry with a putty knife. Alternate ends and middle, pry just a skosh each time to keep from bending the emblem.

each emblem has 2 pins, 1 located an inch or so from each end. These press into a friction nut, installed in a bracket in the tank, generally intended to be a one way affair. But go slow and they will come off. The friction nut sometimes comes off with the pins, or it stays in the tank where it belongs. Be sure to account for them for reassembly.
