Noob from Indy.
« on: July 29, 2010, 04:18:29 PM »
I was inspired by a friends bike and this website, www.burstsausages.com ,  so I picked up a CB550 last weekend. It's a basket case. I got a decent deal on it so I couldn't resist. The plan is to do a cafe racer build. I've got a few car projects to finish up before I start on the bike so I might be a while. That should give me plenty of time to research though. I'm looking forward to getting started on this bike. It may be a winter project.

Oh, BTW, I also have a 79 Goldwing sitting in the garage waiting on some TLC. My father bought the Goldwing almost thirty years ago. He bought a new one a few years back and dropped this one in my garage. I didn't have a whole lot of interest in that bike but after seeing a few of the Goldwing builds on here, I'm getting a little motivated. Maybe when the CB is done I'll start on that. First, I have to strip off the Windjammer and the hard bags. I have no interest in them. Anyone interested in buying them?

Welcome. There are quite a few members here from the Indianapolis area. Pictures of the bikes?
