I am in the process of reinstalling my original wiring harness. When I purchased the bike from the previous owner all the electrics were working except for the brake light. Should I get a new one to save myself some headaches in the future? Or should I replace the components attached to it? The PO sprayed all the electrics under the cover black so I really don't know whats what yet ???. Im guessing starter solenoid, fuse hub etc etc. If I go this route what compnents should I replace?

I have the entire harness laid out on the table.  Ill post some pics this afternoon.

Put some clothes on.

What's your intention for the bike? If you don't care if it's black no one else will. Just check for cuts and clean up all the connections really good. Some new wire harnesses are running a couple hundred bucks.

I replaced mine for like 85us. K4
I was doing a total resto, so you can't
Stick  a Nasty harness back on right??
(ye olD resto snowball)
Kept the old one for spare connectors
Etc for my hack projects.
Definatley check your fuse box.
Take it off and look at the back,
Mine was green, caused problems Even with the
New harness.... Good luck
