Junked them....
« on: August 12, 2010, 09:07:52 PM »
My wife has been on my case a bit about the excess number of junk/old bikes on the property
so this past week I decided to strip out any 'good' parts off the following bikes
and take the remiander to the junkyard.
1979 Honda Express 2
Honda Spree
Montibedelli (sp)
1973 cb550
CT-90
C-70
and a 1965 CB450

Yaard looks a little better and the junkers gave me all of $24.15 for my trouble.
Hardly paid for the gas.

I 'm still thinking of scrapping a CL125 a cb350 along with several GT750's
and maybe just get out of the junk
bike business as the income drop the past 2 years makes it almost not worth my time.
I have noticed in the past 2 years most people want parts for free. Hell, I usually only
charge for my time and shipping, but it is still considered too much....so the hell with it.

oh, and eh,
peace,
michel

No kidding, was the 450 totally toast?

I still have several cb450's left.

The GT750's have been up on my website and haven't sold much off them.

Too true, but it just breaks my heart any time parts like these go into the bin.  Often it's well deserved as there's only so much one can do in terms of resto, but it still breaks my heart.

I still regret throwing out the rusted-through, dented, bent stock headpipes I threw out about 10 years ago :)
