What size allen wrench for front caliper assembly bolts?
« on: August 21, 2010, 09:07:13 AM »
I'm just about to rebuild the front brake on my 1972 CB750.  Anyone know what size allen wrench is needed for the 2 main bolts that hold the assembly together?  Looks big, so I'm making a trip to Sears for a new tool.

That is an 8mm allen. I bought a nice set of 6 from Sears that are nice for the socket.

Cheap Trick from 754..
If you are stuck for a allen wrench.. drill a hole thu a chunk of flatbar, insert bolt, the head being the size of allen wrench you need.. weld opposite side.. thread end.. done... ;D Need offset, add spacers..

8mm= 5/16 inch..... for this purpose...
