Topic: 78 550k clutch kit

Greetings and salutations.
Does anyone know where I can find a replacement clutch kit for a 78 cb550k besides oem?  I have seen them for the 77 and earlier, but I guess the 78 is different.  How so?  I think  that one disc is different, perhaps other pieces? Is it OK to replace just the friction discs and springs, or should the metal plates in between them be replaced also?

measure the thickness of the metal plates check with your manual for tolerences. also put them on a piece of glass to see if they are flat or not,if not replace. you can pick up a clutch kit of ebay.cheers, fergie.
