750 K3 carbs. Where does this go?
« on: August 29, 2010, 02:24:25 PM »
Judging from the fische I got from bike bandit I have all the parts but where does this mount to?  I circled the part in white.

There should be holes across from each other on both sides of the carb bodies where you stick both ends of that bar into each hole. If not your carbs are mounted wrong somehow.
Was there some specific reason you had to de-rack those carbs? Getting you choke to work properly when you de-rack can be a PITA, keep them together next time you do a rebuild.

Thanks.  The PO had them partially disassembled and had a #1 carb where #3 was supposed to be.  I'm trying to get it sorted out..

edit:  I don't see any slots though...

I agree with dook, although I did eventually had to tear mine completely apart on my K2.  Green is the throttle spring holes and blue is what you will need to also make sure you have a hose connecting, or you will be taking them apart again...

Ok, now I get it.  I had to hunt down a #3 carb though, there were two #1's in it.  One on the #1 spot and one in the #3 spot.  There is actually clear aquarium tubing on that vent for now...

It looks like the float bowls are swapped, the drains should be toward the outside to make it easier to get a screwdriver to them when mounted to the motor.

Yeah, I scratched my head for a good 10 minutes but figured that one out before I really panicked.  I found a #3 carb so hopefully I can get these back together next weekend...
