Greetings from Maine...
« on: September 22, 2010, 11:21:32 AM »

Hello all...

Frequent lurker,  now member.  Really enjoyed going through the 'inspiration gallery'.

My first 'real' bike was a '72 CB350 I purchased in 84 as a basket case.  Was in way over my head (also had a 79 round headlight Rabbit diesel  and 75 Audi Fox as projects--CIS FI I knew,  carbs not so much),  and when push came to shove,  I gave the bike away without having done more than moving it around the garage and rebuilding the carbs.

Current rides '03 EX250,  '01 EX250,  '01 EX500.

Welcome. When you locate a new "four" be sure to post pics.

Pickings on even basket case CB's is very slim in these parts...drove 75 miles one way early this AM to take a look at a CB750 (want a CB550).  Way more work than I want to deal with at this point...Onward!

They are out there.  Try going to some of the swap meets.  Yes I know it is near the end of the season, but you could try Keane,New Hampshire and maybe Stafford, Connecticut.  There is a lot of that stuff showing up as a rolling chasis lately.   It also helps to ask around, and check craigslist.  Some of the best stuff I ever found in terms of bikes has been found there.
