I hope the Phaetons have better transmissions than the '00 Jetta I bought my daughter several years back.
That video makes me want to find out!

They do. But, as a former VW tech I have to say if your daughter was having trans trouble in a 2000 Jetta, it was probably abused at some point in its life. What engine did it have?
