Topic: A super deal on a solenoid

I tried one of these solenoids - $8.99 shipped!  The wiring colors match my CB550 harness.  The only thing that didn't work was the rubber sleeve, the slits in the side were oriented in the wrong direction.  I just re-used the rubber sleeve from the old solenoid.

The auction says it takes 18-20 business days to ship. I got mine in 10 days.  They actually e-mailed a picture of the product with the envelope it went in to me just before shipping.  What a deal!

I think it would work.  A few weeks ago I knew nothing about solenoids.  Then I started looking on the internet and noticing some places charge $8.99 and others charge $40 bucks.  They rarely include much technical info, so I figure pretty much this is just an electrical switch for a motorcycle starter.

There are two wires that power it from the starter switch and two poles that connect from the battery positive cable to the starter cable.  Pretty simple really.

the starter and battery on china atv are mutch smaller then honda sohc..i have an 30 a solenonid on my 550 så an smaller then stock can work..but how long
