I posted the '78 CB550K purchase (I think) from back in early August) so I figured I'd post the '75 CB550F purchase this past week.
New purchase last week. '75 CB550F with approx 10,800 miles. Non-original paint, muffler, side covers and the PO wrapped the rusted header (looks neat IMO). Fresh tires, tune-up kit, carb rebuild, tank/side cover paint, etc. by PO.
So far, I've adjusted the points (had to do the same thing for my '78 550K when I bought it... must be the 'thing' to adjust points wrong?), found the battery is bad, identified a malfunctioning front brake caliper and removed front wheel weights from where the PO left them after replacing the front tire. With my 'K' bike battery and good points adjustment, the bike runs strong/smooth. Trans shifts smoothly, all lights/signals work.
Just in case I didn't, I'm including a pic of the '78 CB550K also...
