alternator cover, can this one be used? *PICS*
« on: October 08, 2010, 06:57:59 PM »
Well I just bought a new to me alternator off of Ebay for the cover only. Once I got it taken apart I noticed it was damaged a little bit. I am pretty sure it happened during shipping. So the question is, can it be used or do I need to start shopping for another?

If it were mine I'd use it, no problem.

I had a feeling I would be ok but... figured I would ask just to make me feel better about getting it powdercoated and using it. Thanks for replies!

PM me a couple pics of the other side and I'll let you know if it's ok... If it's not send it to me and I'll recycle it...  ;)

I'd use it if it were mine.

Use it mate, it's fine, just make sure you seat the stator properly, unlike the PO. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
