Electrical connectors
« on: November 19, 2010, 08:32:06 AM »
Does anyone know where to find replacement electrical connectors like the stock bikes have?

I'm speaking of the 4 or 6 wire white connectors used throughout the wire harness.  It would be nice to have a hand full on hand for repair or replacement.

I guess something similar would also work, but I don't want to spend $10-$12 per connector either.

Thanks

Stole this pic from another thread but gives you an idea of what I'm talking about.

www.Vintageconnectors.com rocks and Del is the real deal.  One of the best companies I have done business with here lately.

Also http://easternbeaver.com/ has a good selection of connectors but he is in japan so it would take longer.

That bracket setup looks sweet.  I just pulled mine off and it looks about 200 years older than yours.  ;D

Not my bracket setup, pulled if off a CB550 restore thread.  Very sweet looking though!

+1 on the vintageconnections - they are perfect and so is his sleeving. I think it was Hondaman who put me onto him.

BTW I use the tinning solution I use for printed circuit boards to replate the old tinned connectors or ones which are supplied unplated and should be tinned to be the same as the originals.

Cheers
