Now and again we have to use a swinging stage, last time we were painting a couple of silo's at a cement plant and we were about 120 feet in the air.....A swinging stage is something that window cleaners use to clean hi rise building windows....I also have a cherry picker license and scissor lift license.....

I sell cheese.

The most dangerous part of my day is cutting through a wheel of Reggiano and hoping the wire doesn't snap and skewer me in the eye.

I work at woodwork/millwork shop.  We've got some pretty hellacious equip. such as a bandsaw capable of powerfeeding a human body and splitting end to end :o or the wood scrap hog capable of shredding up a large bathroom's worth of wood in about 5 minutes.  It's aptly named the Destroyer and has a picture of a vicious grizzly bear.  It's really not too bad though just always be aware of exactly where your fingers are!  In 11 years my worst injury was from a hand chisel and I still have all my fingers(knock on wood ha ha)

What does this mean? Do you shoot the ropes to the boats?

Basically big tugs that have 2 x 71mm wires that tow Ships, oil rigs, drill barges etc
once in position we then take large anchors from rigs and lay them out usually 8 of them on wires or chain
we also supply them with water, fuel, cement, barite etc
it's fun getting up close to things to take anchors or hoses from them

They are doubling the power lines all over the state this year.  We had a helicopter get a bit "involved" with some lines down here this spring.  One guy went to the hospital.  It's been great if you own a dirt bike.  I rode from Nefwane to Londonderry on 95% dirt.  Lots of choppers flying around and the guys working the line's were all cool about us riding.
"Sure, if you don't want that bike in your backyard, I guess I'll take it."  "I'll probably just scrap it......"
