Where is the best place to buy a new sidecover for my 1975 CB550? Do they make repro's?

Cheap sidecover are made from unobtainium. Old originals crack up due to age and ultaviolet degredation. The Dave Silver Replicas are excellent quality as good as Honda but better as they are a more Pliable plastic that dont break as easy as the originals. Only come in black so you have to paint them and dont have the emblem holes you have to drill them
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

I was hoping for something a little under $100

I'm in the same boat, both sides have cracks.  I haven't decided which way to go but i have found these:

Dennis Kirk: $27.99 each side

J.C. Whitney: $25.99 each side

These are the "unobtainium" versions.  Cheap repro's that bolt on (no mounting tabs; line up w/tab slots & drill bolt holes). I'm not sure about the Dennis Kirk version, but the JCW clearly states that these are for the K, not F model.
