thanks for the comments guys!i have a ton of photos if you you rerally want them lol.the swing arm is off a suzuki gs500e,it swapped right in with a 1/4" spacer on each side. the sprockets lined up perfect.the front sprocket is off of a banshee since the wheels, also from the suzuki use a 520 chain.i had it monoshocked in the begining, but the shock was too spongey.the front is ...you guessed it also from the suzuki.the trees fell right in but i had to get creative with the bearings.welded on some rear sets and also used the controls from the suzuki.the paint is dupont chromobase base coat clear coat(i paint for a livin) .here are a few more pics

HAHAHAHAAHA.. thats ok fastbroshi... your not alone here.

Great looking bike.
I'm fitting a 180 rear tire in my 550..your swing arm almost had me #$%* my pants. I'm making one from scratch and then I saw yours and thought. WOW!! maybe i don't have to go through so much trouble.. but closer inspection, not sure the gs500 arm would work either. Guess I'll stick to the original plan. :-)

if you have a sec.. can I see a close up photo of your rear sets and how you made them work? Those have peeked my interest as well.. thanks

That airplane, aka a Mooney, has significantly less legroom than a 550 and is really hard to pick up girls with.  The bike is a much better option...  Great paint--nice build.

What year, and model Suzuki are you getting the parts from?

I'm interested in better understanding what you did to get the bearings sorted out. I rally like the wheels and brakes on this frame looks good.

Nice start, a couple of thoughts for you:

1) The mono setup really does look more fighterish.  By using an appropriate donor shock/spring, you should be able to get something that works better.  I suggest a Ducati 900/750SS unit, since it also has a linkless monoshock setup and the geometry could/should be closer to what you've got here.

2) The GS500 forks let you mount up that nice 17" wheel with the big brakes, but they have horrible damping.  A set of RaceTech cartridge emulators will make a world of difference to those forks. This should be considered a mandatory upgrade, it's only a few hundred bucks and will transform the bike.

3) With better suspension and grippy rubber, you may find that frame flex becomes a significant issue.  You are going to want to brace/gusset that frame.

Looking forward to watching this build!

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Syscrush thanks for the advice! i still have the monoshock mounts welded to the frame because i plan on going with it in the future.i will probally need a little bit better shock than the one i have. will look into the race tech idea, little low on the benjimans ! also have any idea on the frame? thanks again for the advice

FYI, there are 3 900/750SS shocks available on eBay right now for about $75 each.

Also FYI, I've had 2 separate bikes with forks like the ones from the GS (a Katana 600 and an SV650) and put RTCE's in both, and in both cases it made a night & day difference in the handling, comfort, and braking of the bike.

Upgrading to a set of R6 forks made a similar improvement. ;)

And then getting a KTM with WP suspension made the same jump in quality again.  ;D

No, this was on an SV, and the older RSU R6 front end has the same spacing & offset, so to do the swap all that's needed is to bore out the SV triples & clip-ons from 41mm to 43mm and then blam, everything fits together.

Info here.

But I doubt that's relevant to your GS setup.
