CB750k5 rear wheel size?

Just a quick question, I was looking at my CB750k5 tires and it looks like it has a 16" wheel/tire on the rear and a 18 or 19" on the front.  What size is supposed to be on the rear?  18" right?

Also, found this funny, went to the Honda dealer today, picked up an oil filter, Clymers manual, and order an oil filter bolt--and when I was asking for the filter and bolt, he asked what year, model . I said 1975 CB750k, and he proceded to tell me there wasn't such a thing, earliest, was 1976 (okay?)  So yeah, I'll assume the filter and bolt is the same for 75 as 76, but found that to be odd.

Yeah 18 inch wheel stock.I had the same problem at the dealership when ordering for a 750 K5. Their microfisch  doesn't go back as far as it should but they somehow got it figured out as to what parts I was after.

Ok, thanks, the PO said something about a harley wheel being on it, but I could of swore he told me it was the front wheel.

The rear on my 74 CB750 is  a 16" as well.  Apparently it was a popular modification to make.

People did/still switch to a 16'' wheel to get alittle more meat out in the back.
Users like PaulAges are running 16'' with a 130 tire, which gives off a good look.

I just checked my rear tire.  It is a 130 on a 16" rim.  The rear shocks have been relocated back on the bottoms.  The combination gives a nice look to the back of the bike.

In the old days guys would take a harley 16" rim and lace it to a honda hub. Now a days there are rims specifically for putting a 16" rim on a honda but back then it was the custom trick to do. It got you a wider sidewall for that dragster kind of look (ever see an old top fuel dragster? Bicycle wheels at the front with small sidewall and big meaty tire with a huge sidewall in the back) and also a wider rim for a wider tire.

Stock for a K5 shoudl be 19" front and 18" rear.

Some honda dealers are really with it, others need a good rap in the head with a tacking hammer.
