Thanks in advance for the help...

Was bored before Packer game and installed the All Balls tapered steering bearing races in steering neck before I compared bottom bearing height to determine if I needed to install the thin or thick washer.    :-[ :-[

I know, I know, bonehead move on my part.      It's a 77 CB550F.

Can anyone tell me if I should install the thin or thick washer  on my CB550F to match the height of the original set up?

Would really appreciate the info.

Thanks!

For what it's worth, I've done 2 All Balls kits and both took the thin shim.  Just my past experiences.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Were they CB550s?

They were both 750s.

ok,  thanks.  I've seen a few mention both ways,   thick and thin.    Leaning towards the thin washer as you have done.

Hoping a few with cb550s will also chime in as well.

Thanks again!!
