I just had some communication with Hondaman. Apparently the relay race organizers are completely unaware of the Paris Rally and that the CB750 is featured.

They would'nt know but nothing could be sorted as we didnt know when it would be passing through our region. Some of us were hoping for August  :)

Still though, it would have been a great opportunity. More CB750's per square foot than, I don't know when.

Hi guys, I'm still planning to make it, the 750 is starting to go back together, and barring any huge set backs, I think I'll make it. Whoever is coming from the north or east of Toronto, I could hook up with, and ride in together. I'm thinking of early-ish on Friday.

I can do that.
Im also in the same boat as far as building the bike , its still a ways off but I should have her built. I wasnt planning on camping but if there is a bunch of guys who are I may change my mind.  I would imagine most of the guys would show on Saturday or even Friday night if they also plan on camping.

I'm planning on going Friday, I have a friend on Paris, might stay there. Got the cylinder on today, and the pistons in, not before I dropped something in the crankcase, but thank God,  I managed to get it out again. Dear Lord, I hope I get it done in time!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine  seems to be breaking down into more and more pieces. It started off with fixing a valve seal, then developed into ' while it's apart I might as well...' Last apart was 25 years ago, she has been starting to show her age.

well, we've got 8 weeks and counting! Got the chrome back from the plater, waiting on the zinc plating. Going to near Buffalo, for exhaust. Got  a pretty good deal on HM300's $1,050 U.S, which is a deal for us right now, with the exchange rate, I just have to go get them.

I still plan on going BUT the Honda will not :(  I hope I will have it together and running by then but it wont be ready for the road.  If you still plan a ride down and would like a couple of Triumphs tagging along then let me know otherwise I will meet you guys down there to say hello.
Bob / Hondanut will more than likely be heading down on his Goldthing and Dino Dave on his Trumpet.

Still working on mine, seeing 70cb, I'm in similar shape, although trying to figure out which bolt goes where and fishing a new wire harness. A few roadblocks have occured, like fork seals. The new ones I bought turned out to be large, replacements were too small. I finally measured them all and OD 47 seems to be what will fit. does that sound right for VIN #1015.... ?

I got spokes from these guys, really reasonably priced and was here in one day!
Fork seals....http://www.vintagecb750.com/products/3/suspension/52/fork-tubes-fork-seals

even a whole wiring harness $75! http://www.vintagecb750.com/products/73/featured-products

and they are in Canada but charge $U.S., so even less <john>

I notice that their fork seals are for 1971-78 and are 48mm, 48 it to large for my forks, it now seems even 47 is a little to big. Do you remember what size you used in your 70?

How did you get the paint shipped to Canada.  I thought they have a strict US shipping only policy?

I hope to make it there too but probably on Sunday only and might be on my cb400f or car.  My K1 is still a work in progress and my second K1 is in long term storage.
