Hi hi, Some of you guys gave me some great advice when it came to my house and problems with some gangs.Well i eventually got jumped and the shat kicked out of me, but i had already decided to let it go back to the bank, So i am safely back at my parents till i finish out school. I have a light semester this quarter so i am looking for a project and need some advice. Basically i have been looking for cb 550's and 750's in my area for a little bit. Is the  best place to look craigslist? Seems like every time i call about something they have they either want wayyyyy to much for something not running (1500 dollars for a non running cb seems a little nuts to me, especially when it looks like poo, set on fire and rolled off a cliff) or something toooo pretty for what i wanna do and wanted like 4k.

So the advice question. Do i simply just keep checking craigslist and asking friends to ask there family if anyone has one tucked away in the barn? Any other sources to look? Thanks :D

CL is an ok place, so is local buy and sells etc...put the word out that you are looking and see what happens. I also wouldn't tell friends and family that you are only interested in 550's or 750's keep it vague...you never kknow what they might have tucked away!

CL, eBay, and even Google will work. Yes, Google it, that's how I found my 550.
Check everyday, when deals pop up, they usually don't last long. If you're serious, be ready to act.

Have you seen this website? Pop in your zip code and CB550 and see what comes up:
