Topic: Stupid people make me sad

As I said: Stupid people make me sad. I'm riding my bike down a not so busy street and I'm getting ready to make a left onto my street.  I turn the blinker on and hand signal. #$%* pulls out in front of me as I'm setting into my turn.   I have to essentially throttle as hard as i can to get out of the way and damn near laid it down via hitting the curb since i had to come out of my turn to correct. That person got a nice middle finger and some looks from nearby pedestrians.  Thank god CB750's handle so well and don't handle like an 1800cc dresser....

I think sailors call it a "weather eye". No matter what one is thinking about when riding there's always got to be that little voice saying, watch out for the unexpected.

me too,but i might be the stupid one,stopped at a left turn to give way on my bike yesterday and a car was behind me,he nudged me enough to dent his number plate and plastic bumper a little,i hopped of and saw it had only nudged the rear tyre and not done any damage,i turned to the guy and said what the fck?he starts telling me to calm down so i boot the dent already in his car,tell him to just fck off and leave,if i didnt get so hot headed i could of insisted on a wheel true and balance just to make him pay some money,it was some sort of company car with a logo,i just didnt like his attitude.

you need to ride aggresive or people will run all over you. all it takes is one dumbass to make you never ride again or worse.. like my dad has told me a million times before. its not you on the road you have to worry about its all the other red light running, not checking where they are turning, not watching road loosers who are going to smoke you.. i would have done the same damn thing if somone rear ended me on my bike. drivers need to learn to leave space for people on bikes.

Well, lets just start it. My name is Adam, and I have an anger problem. I get on the road and all I see is idiots. 

Roach, you left out the people texting while driving. I've even seen people texting while driving a scooter around campus.

Had a similar experience last year. I came to a 2 way stop, the car across form em was going straight and I was turning left. My bike does not have any front turn signals, not required by law. I let the car going straight go first even though it was my turn, I hand signaled and began to turn, some car decides that stop signs dont apply to them and blasts straight through the stop sign, had to slam on the brakes and almost lost it. I yelled a few things at them but they didnt seem to care.

i agree that it is my responsibility not to get hit with whatever is thrown at me. but this isnt a perfect world and people run light dont signal and just dont give a dang about others on the road. so even if you do everything to the book you can still get smacked

Ouch.  Yeah. I agree riding aggressive and I'd be a liar if I said a car hitting me wouldn't result in me being rather violent. I'd just preferr it not come to it.

I and all my friends always have and always looked out for bikes. And now that I ride I know I will even more so.

I was talking legally. Same goes for things like it is technically illegal in Owensboro, KY to have anal sex but I am sure people still do it. 

It pisses me off that people just genuinely do not care about bikers safety, yet if i am speeding or my pipes are too loud suddenly I am public enemy number one.
