I noticed that you taped your pipes...I've been thinking about the same thing...how do you do it? Bike looks great!
Thanks for the kind words. The bike has done a 180 from the way it looked when I bought it, and still has along way to go..
As far as the Headerwrap, it wasn't a big deal at all to apply. I did it with the pipes
On the bike, because I didn't want to mess with taking them off. It would have been
ALLOT easier, and take less time if the pipes were indeed off the motorcycle.
Basically the "tape" is more of a "wrap". that holds in the heat. The more heat an exhaust can hold in, the better power the vechile/bike will make. Thats the theory, I did it just because my pipes looked like crap, and it goes along with the look I am going after. Basically you start wrapping the pipes as tight as you can, and use hose clamps to hold each end. I would wear somesort of gloves, because the stuff has fiberglass in it, and loves to get under your skin. Also helps to get the wrap wet, as you can pull it tighter, and when it dries is really tight !!!
ha-ha - nice avatar mr. Duplicolor...how many times have you answered that question now??? (twice for me, i think...

This stuff does not like fuel ! I got the tank mounted on the bike last weekend, and took it for a breif ride to check for leaks. I stopped at the gas station to top off the tank , and dribbled alittle on the tank. I wouldn't say it "ate thru" the paint, but it def. did something to it, as you can clearly see exactly where the fuel hit the tank.
A fix is just a quick spray away....
