The frame clearance and chain alignment is the biggest challenge and will be the hardest part of the build. Once I have that in check, the rest should fall together nicely. I will be visiting my chassis guy this week to discuss my options. I might end up flipping the rear wheel and using a jack shaft to keep my geometry the way I want it.
Keep in mind that going to a jackshaft will probably mean losing the bike's anti-squat mechanism - and you probably want that intact with 115hp.

I wouldn't use a jack shaft either, if you are using the wheels that came with that engine then i am sure that you can make it work.........

At first I felt bad for that 750, but now I feel bad for me not having the money to do this. Very cool! UPDATE.

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

I had to put this one on the back burner in order to finish some other projects. Now that the weather is becoming reasonable again, I am back at it. I will hopefully have more pics and updates soon. Don't give up on me, I may have the worst case of ADHD ever, but I always finish what I started.

Looks great!! I have a 350f waiting for a motor, and was thinking of a monster build like yours. The skills I have do not compare to yours! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Crapola. prolly gonna have to pull the plug on the 600f4 engine I was getting. It is not fuel injected and I see sooo many problems coming from that. I kept thinking I could just raise the gas tank up level with the top of the handle bars(made out of fiberglass) and keep some room for fuel but wont be much room. You have another motor ;D
If you're not comfortable with fitting a small low-pressure fuel pump to get fuel to the carbs on that engine, how is it that you feel comfortable fitting a modern EFI engine, which is much more work, and much more complicated?

O.K. Brother, are we gonna have a competition or what? I am picking up my little power plant on tuesday.
I am getting:
motor
harness
exhaust
swingarm
rear brakes
carbs
cdi
and all the little nuts and bolts
I had to drop 600 on it but that beats the fire out of salvage yard prices(especially for a runner)

Next on the list is some lightweight chromoly steel
What future problems do you see us encountering in this process.

The guy I got the stuff from was telling me about all of the safety mechanisms that need to be bypassed in order to even start it up.
