1971 CB500 Racebike project
« on: April 23, 2011, 11:59:54 AM »
 Hey everyone!
Im somewhat new to the forum (first post). I figured this was the best pace to post a little of what I love to do to the wonderful old machines.
In October 2010 I purchased a non running 1971 CB500 on craigslist with no title for a couple hundred bucks. Over the winter I tore it down and rebuilt the bike to run on the track. I got the bike running in February and had it on the track in April. Ill list a few things I did and attach some pics.
All questions are welcome! And I would love to hear any advice as to make the bike perform better, yet this is a budget build as I know I can pour thousands of dollars in parts (shouldered rims, Works rear shocks, CR carbs, etc...) I'd like to keep it afforable. As it will be a work in progress all summer.

-K&N oil filter
-New motoX style clutch perch
