New on here. Wanted to share a picture of my bike.
« on: April 24, 2011, 08:08:22 PM »
Here is a picture of my 550.

After lots of work and cleaning it is back on the road.

All original except for the pipes.

Thanks.  A lot of stuff rusts here but this bike did ok.  12,500 miles and pretty clean. Did a full go through and replaced the tires and battery.  Came with the original new vehicle title and mint owners manual and warranty documents under the seat.  I had this same bike year and model bike 15 years ago and consider myself very lucky to find another.

Welcome to the forum.

Beautiful bike!

Where in Vermont are you?  My girlfriend is from Montpelier, and I have visions of barn finds galore up there ;)

Thanks.  I live up towards Burlington VT but grew up near Montpelier.  I believe there are still some solid Honda's tucked away in garages and barns around here.

Anyone have an idea of what my bike might be worth?

Book value is $900.00 but I think maybe it should be insured for a little more.

Sweet K2 Bike HJ! I paid $900 for mine but not nearly that nice of shape and twice the miles. You did good. In fact I saw your bikes twin bro yesterday. I guy at the local shop just bought one. He paid for it, got on it, and rode it home 65 miles, that's how nice it was. I got mine last July and just now got it running and street presentable. I am jealous!

Thank you.  I was very excited to find this because I had one 15 years ago same year and model but I had to sell it when I moved out on my own.  I was lucky that it only took about a month and a half of weekends and evenings to get it cleaned up and gone through.  New tires, battery and a few seals.

That is great about the other one you saw and congratulations on your time and work paying off and getting your bike on the road.  The first ride must of been a blast after all that work.

Nice find, I like the aftermarket more than stock pipes on your bike.  Welcome...Larry

Welcome! i grew up in Monroe NH. Went to St Johnsbury for H/S and Neci in Montpelier. I have family in Williston. I pull my bikes from your area. My family comes down often enough and my Father loves the old stuff too. The 750f I just sold came from Colchester. The bike in my avatar was from Littleton NH. They are getting harder to find there also. I figured you were from Jay.
I would guess $1500 or more, if its road ready, more.
Me though. Ill give you $800 and some one will pick it up Sat! ;D

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!
