Changing oil filter
« on: November 16, 2005, 12:16:10 PM »
This bike has been apart for some time now - I have forgotten which order the oil filter housing, bolt, and spring are supposed to be in. is the spring against the housing/filter or engine/filter?

Starting from the bolt head end, it's small "o" ring, filter housing, large "o" ring, spring, thin flat washer, then filter.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Anybody know the size of the small o-ring? My drain plug had a similar size o-ring...is it supposed to? Would like to use the same size if posibble for that replacement since it worked fine up until now. Thanks!
