Wow that sucks I thought you were a therapist in the med field? Like standard issue scrubs. My office is pretty lax since we are in the waste recycling biz you can get called to the field at anytime. jeans and boots are usually OK.

Not to get off topic but this morning on the way to work I saw and heard some dude on a harley behind me. Straight pipes, ape hangers, nazi style helmet, emblazened leather jacket, pony tail the whole gang rider look. Then he passes me and I see him wearing khaki dockers and loafers! Talk about living in a dream world. That made me laugh.

that sux,I'm just a lowly technician/warehouse guy,I can wear what I want,I hardly ever shave much to the chagrin of my wife.Jeans,workboots.I say if you want me to dress up,PAY me to dress up.

I had to wear a tie everyday, so I invested in vintage bow ties.  It was kind of cool, actually.
I don't get a job where you  can't have lae-up shoes, though.  Are they afraid you'll hang yourself in your cell?

i did the sales/suit thing. not for me.  the money was good though.
gald they're not going that far.  i'd hate to have to search out a new job.
luckily...NO PEE TEST! laces.....well their 'reason' was that it made shoes look like 'sneakers'
and no, we're not getting a penny more to 'afford' our new digs...fkrs.
bowties...fun idea for when i wear button shirts.  guess i gotta shop some polos today.
can i get shoulder sweater too.. and loafers!?  this sucks.

it is what it is......LAME!

Telling people they can't wear lace-up shoes because they look like tennis shoes is a control thing.  Your compnay is run by 6 yo control freak idiots.  I could deal fine with havng to wear a tie- but no lace-up... They must want people to quit?

That's what I was thinking too, they don't want the fuss of having people off themselves on company time.  ;D

It is funny how we all hate corporations,(and for good cause) but yet we,(not me), work for them and buy thier $h!t.

We all hate lawyers, but yet we elect them to public office!

We really only have ourselves to blame for the crap that is going on in this country.

We have the power to do something about it, but all we really do is complain about it.

It's all about choices.

I can see this thread getting locked up, but until then...

I have to wear slacks, dress shoes, with either a polo, or button shirt tucked in. I hate tucking in my shirts.
I live for casual fridays. I get to wear my skate shoes, and jeans. I usually wear a company logo with the jeans.

I'm just thankful to have a job. Where I live we have the 20% or more jobless. 2nd largest in the nation. Yeah, I'm real proud.

Hmmm socialism in a corporate world? I don't see it. I think it's a more of a control issue by the big bosses.

We've had our share of of POS VPs. Our last VP always harped on us about integrity, honesty, doing what's right, even making us sign pledges of all the above. Then he quits taking his big bonuses with him to another company. Get this, a company that he negotiated a huge contract with while at our company! We're stuck paying for this serviceand his contract for three years. What a douche! Our prez has been laying people off and taking our benefits away for the past three years all so our books look good enough for him to get his multi million dollar bonus. Another douche!

I'm not knocking capitalism just coporatism. I'll take socialism over corporatism any day!

THANKFULLY...i've got a ways to go.  ;)
the ladies can wear dresses, pantyhose and open-toe shoes.  (one gal works in the warehouse)
i wonder what kind of 'safety' issues this might present when she comes to work all dolled up?  we shall see....

im just glad this wasnt one of the dress-code 'training' slides....
there's more than one safety violation there  :o

What's up with the slip on shoe requirement! Are they full of BS? I have this thing that I always say, if you can't trust a man who can not tie his shoes... Most of the slick dicks I have met in business ALL had slip on shoes.
