I have taken my CB400F speedo apart to fix the trip meter and it is identical to the one he shows in his pics from a Yamaha!

Thanks for posting this link!  I've replaced the speedo & tach cables on my 550 and still have a bouncy tach and a speedo that reads 20-30 mph high.  This will help immensely.

That guy knows a TON about those bikes (and I would assume others too).  I got a freebie XJ550 that I just tore down to the frame today.  It's too far gone to restore, but BigFitz was incredibly helpful in helping me figure out whether this was worth my time.

Nice that he's even getting props on this site :)
