put a volt meter on your battery with the bike not running. You should see 12.5 volts or so.
Then start the bike up and run it up to about 3000 rpms Hold it at that speed and put the volt meter back on the battery again. You should see 14+ volts. If you don't, then you have a problem with your charging system. If you are getting 14+ volts, then you likely have a fuel problem.
Pull the gas line(s) off the petcock and with a nearly full tank of gas, put a new hose onto the petcock, open it up and drain the fuel out into a clean gas can or bucket. You want to be able to watch the fuel flow out of the hose to check the consistent volume of gas coming out of the petcock. Unless you can run a gallon or two out of the petcock with out any decrease in flow, you have some fuel flow problems. Check the Reserve setting on the petcock also.
You might have a plugged up fuel cap vent that is not allowing much gas to flow out fast enough.
